These courses are intended to promote the appreciation and in-depth study of the piano compositions of J. S. Bach. This is achieved when the textual and stylistic requirements of the literature come into contact with the pianist’s personal interpretation skills and are placed in relation to them.
The courses are combination courses that offer both a master class with Bach repertoire and further information from the Bach seminars. Participants have the opportunity to try out the information presented in the seminar in practice and
to observe this process with other pianists, whereby the exchange with other pianists during the course in the form of ideas, help and discussions is important for the learning process.
The following musical parameters are worked on:
* Tempo and the modification of tempo
* Structure of the musical phrases
* Dynamic processes: structural dynamics and ‘animated line’
* Energy and relaxation
* Sound design
* Pianistic elaboration and individual shaping
